It\\\'s getting closer to me upgrading from my PS2 to something new.

So what are your thoughts and reasons for the the system you got?

What about backwards capability?

Amount of games available?

I am looking towards a PS3 as I have been playing PS\\\'s for years.

I thought about a Wii but I see they do not have some of the games I like, plus someone told me they weren\\\'t coming out with many new games.

I am also not looking to play games online either.

I would go pc myself. Otherwise ps3 makes a better media center than xbox.

Thank you sir. I tried doing the PC thing years ago and just didn\\\'t like it for some reason.

I believe I will stick with the PS3 as I have been pleased with my past PS experiences. I would like to buy new but the 300 price tag is gonna be a stretch. I have priced some used at $125-185. Just have to figure out what game store is more trust worthy in the used dept.

PS3 sucks.

I\\\'ve had two die on me and if you\\\'re under warranty you\\\'re fine, if not it\\\'s $150. It\\\'s our fucking netflix box besides the game the kid plays on it.

Don\\\'t buy a fucking used one. Spend the extra $50 so if it dies then your ass is covered for a year.

I\\\'d wait to see what\\\'s up with PS4/Xbox720 before I spent almost $200 on an almost 8 year-old product regardless of how its revamped models look and consume power.

PC is the gaming master race.
I have a personal relationship with reality.
